From what I remember Akuma was Ryu's Father (thus the connection between ken and Ryu)
If you've seen SFA-The Movie Ryu Asks Akuma if he had ever had a family. Akuma Replies
"Where I walk, I walk alone" This could mean that the rumor is bullshit (though these are fictional characters and debating fictional characters origins that were never written is kinda useless since fan speculations are kinda dumb) I never knew the raging demon was 1 punch and neither did I know it stole Chi. Gayness.

DUDE LMAO THIS IS THE MOST STUPIDEST AMERICANIZED CARTOON EVER LOL... RYU NEVER fights for fun haha. Also akuma was never gokens brother he was a former student of goken who killed him, in legend akuma is stronger then ryu because he was taught under goken and other masters

This isn't a rumor it's just not canon in the last SF alpha movie it is stated that he is ryu's father however it is not canon to the storyline. Akuma is indeed gokens brother.

The Shun Goku Satsu is a technique that takes both fighters straight to hell to where many demons attack both fighters for their sinful minds. The only way to escape is to clear your mind of impurity. Gen is the only known fighter to thwart the Shun Goku Satsu. It's so horrible that Ken was clearly a rich young man. Ryu sounds p****ified but that got something about his personality accurate. Gouki just came back to kill his brother in combat. Thank goodness for the real story I'm following.
